2025 Retreat Day with Fr. Bill Sheehan at St. Alfred Episcopal Church, Palm Harbor

Our long-time friend and mentor, Fr. Bill Sheehan, once again treated us to an enriching and enjoyable day. This year’s theme was “Contemplative Living in the Modern Age — How to Keep Your Practice Growing.” Interspersed with Fr. Bill’s teachings were silent periods of Centering Prayer, a Lectio Divina session, the Welcoming Prayer, and general discussion of the Christian contemplative tradition.

2024 Retreat Day with Father Bill Sheehan at St. Alfred Episcopal Church

In 2024, Fr. Bill Sheehan joined us for a “Back to Basics” day that included summaries of Thomas Keating’s Spiritual Journey teachings as well as references to the great wisdom teachers through the ages. Fr. Bill’s topics included the spiritual principles, the psychological paradigm of contemplation, the four consents, and “going to the inner room.” The day is captured on video for your enjoyment, HERE.
