A Morning of Prayer

The St. Alfred’s Centering Prayer Group invites you to begin your Lenten observance with a morning of silent prayer. We will meet in the choir room on the north side of the church; please enter through the choir room doors. For questions or to register, please email marypat.sjostrom@gmail.com. Registration is not required, but it will help us to know how to set up the prayer circle.

9:30      Welcome, sign in

9:50      Gather in circle for introductions

10:00   Two 30-minute periods of Centering Prayer with optional meditative walk in between

11:05   Silent break

11:25   One 30-minute period of Centering Prayer

12:00   Depart in silence or stay to chat a bit

While Centering Prayer is the basis of our teaching, all meditation paths are welcome. Books on the spiritual journey are available to borrow from the church.
